Crescent Swan is a digital first, independent micro-publishing house, founded in 2020 and based in Essex. Our aim is to open the door to storytellers whose voices remain unheard. With the world of mainstream publishing increasingly chasing trends, and the doors of big publishing houses closed to unsolicited manuscripts from writers without agents, getting your story into the hands of readers can be an uphill battle.

We want to help break through the exclusionary nature of the publishing industry, and in doing so we aim to bring original and exciting works into the world. Although we are a micro-publisher, the production values behind the stories we publish are no different from those of the big publishing houses. Of course, being a small indie press with vastly smaller spending capabilities makes that a challenge, but it makes it an exciting one, facilitating creativity and outside-the-box thinking.

We are looking forward to publishing more titles and working closely with authors to produce their vision. Editing, proofreads and cover design may all be done in-house, or with the aid of freelancers, commissioned on a project-by-project basis. Every single one of our books will be edited with passion, and each cover will be designed with the goal of creating a visually beautiful product that captures the attention of the right audience.
